Beautiful lady’s dress buckle or clasp in two parts, heavily gilded ornate frame set with two banded agate stones; antique English Late Georgian period and style, from the 1790s-1800s.

Style notes — Georgian period mainly refers to the second half of the 18th century and up to the 1820s. The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration.
